McKenzie's Background

McKenzie joined Youth Hub back in April 2025, needing support with his CV and finding employment.McKenzie has previous experience in the army and was looking for an active job moving forward.

First Steps

McKenzie was keen to update his CV to reflect and showcase his previous experience and skills, so we spent some time ensuring his CV was fully updated and professional.

Whilst on our Programme

McKenzie started Youth Hub in April 2025. He came to the Youth Hub with previous work experience within the army and various warehousing roles. McKenzie was keen to update his CV to reflect this, as his old CV was outdated and he was not gaining any success from applying to jobs.

We spent some time updating McKenzie's CV to showcase his previous experience, skills and knowledge. Together, we were able to identify suitable jobs that McKenzie was interested in and complete applications.

McKenzie was interested in completing a security course with The Growth Company and Carlisle Security to gain his SIA Badge. In May, McKenzie completed a 3-week SIA Course, gaining various qualifications including Customer Service, Facilities and Emergency First Aid at Work.

McKenzie was offered employment with Carlisle Security, working at Jaguar Land Rover. We were able to support McKenzie with his pre-employment checks.
