Scott's Background

Scott joined the Youth Hub in April 2025. He had no previous work experience but was keen to find his first job.

First Steps

When Scott joined the Youth Hub, he had a CV that needed updating. We spent some time working on Scott's CV to ensure it was professional when applying for jobs

Whilst on our Programme

Scott joined the Youth Hub in April 2025. He was unsure about what jobs he would like to do long term, but was keen to find his first role to gain experience. We worked on Scott’s CV to ensure it showcased his skills and qualities to employers when applying for jobs.

Scott attended the Jobs Clubs on a Monday at NYCI. During these job clubs, we were able to provide Scott with more intense support, including setting up online job profiles, identifying suitable roles, and completing applications.

An opportunity came up with The LFC Foundation for a new hospitality programme working with the ACC. Scott was interested in this programme, and we were able to put him forward.

Scott completed the two-week programme, and he gained a qualification in customer service and was able to develop his skills and experience.

Scott was then offered a role with the ACC, working within the executive hospitality boxes.

Next Steps

Scott is continuing to work with the ACC and is enjoying his new role.

He has built up his confidence since joining the youth hub and working with the LFC Foundation.
